A vital effort towards reclamation of the Squamish language is underway at SFU today. This campaign seeks to cover tuition and cost of living expenses for students in financial need who wish to attend the full-time program starting in fall 2017.
This past Fall season, the SFU Rowing Club experienced a large influx of new additions to our crew. A jump from nine to thirty athletes means that we need to add to our current fleet of racing shells and update our equipment. Join our efforts in raising funds to support our growing crew of student athletes as they push their physical and mental limits.
Team Guardian is a competitive engineering team that designs and builds unmanned aerial vehicles for national and international competitions. Our team provides an opportunity for students to apply the skills and techniques learned in class to a real world design challenge. While we have tools and equipment to build our aircraft, we cannot afford the travel costs associated with attending competitions. We need your help to take us to the Unmanned Systems Canada competition taking place in Alma, Quebec later this year!
Many people currently cannot live their lives to their ultimate potential because they have a missing hand or an arm. Technology exists, but they are not user-friendly and as result, many amputees are not making use of these ionic assistive devices. We have come up with a bridging solution to this problem, and want to showcase it's impact at the Cybathlon, is the first ever cyborg Olympics, which will be held in Switzerland. But, in order to make this dream a reality, we need your help.
We’re raising $4500 to further improve the SFU tennis team! Our goal is to win regionals and eventually compete at nationals. The funds raised will go towards hiring a coach and covering court costs to enable more practice sessions. Thank you for your support!
